Grant Funded Community Programmes
We have delivered two National Lottery Community Fund wellbeing portfolios. One from 2007–2011 and a second; Wellbeing in the East from 2013-2015.
Wellbeing in the East featured 25 projects delivered by voluntary, public and private sector groups. The ethos behind the programme was about social inclusion and engaging people at a community level. It helped people to identify ‘achievable and sustainable’ changes to lifestyles. Sharing the idea that even a small change can make a huge difference to how we feel.
Wellbeing in the East reached over 34,000 individuals. It enabled them to ‘start a conversation’ about the steps they could take to improve their wellbeing.
Our current programme is HeadsUp. It is funded by the European Social Fund and National Lottery Community Fund. Its aim is to support people with common mental health problems such as depression or anxiety return to the workplace after a period of unemployment. You can find out more about HeadsUp here.
