Enable East is an innovative, independent NHS team that assists other health and social care organisations to deliver effective projects and measureable improvements. A ‘common sense’ alternative to commercial management consultants, Enable East offers a safe pair of hands and a fresh pair of eyes at competitive NHS rates.
Enable East was fully established in 2010. The organisation builds on the legacy of the Eastern Development Centre which functioned first as part of the Department of Health and then NHS East of England from 2002 until 2010 when it closed due to cuts in public sector funding.
The Eastern Development Centre was initially one of eight regional development centres of the National Institute for Mental Health in England (NIMHE) from 2002 to 2005, then part of the Care Services Improvement Partnership (CSIP) from 2005 to 2008. From 2008 onwards the remit of the EDC extended to supporting NHS East of England, the Department of Health, the Big Lottery Fund and other agencies to deliver more than 200 projects and programmes across health and social care.
The Enable East team today are well positioned to ensure that the legacy and learning from predecessor organisations is still available to our customers.
We are proud of the reputation we have earned for working flexibly with a wide range of organisations and really ‘getting the job done’. Our work has included projects with NHS commissioners and providers, local authorities, charities, strategic agencies and the private sector.
We continually seek to extend our capability and capacity by establishing positive working relationships with a wide range of individuals and organisations through our network of Enable East associates and partner organisations.
Our extensive list of skilled associates are chosen with care through a robust assessment centre process to ensure that we supply the right people for every job that we do.
As an organisation we constantly seek to move forward and further develop – so whatever it is that you need to do give us a call and we’ll help you to ‘make improvements actually happen!’
